Role and remit of the Provider Network sub-group
The provider network facilitated by the Childcare & Family Resource officer was set up in 2003 to;
- To promote the sharing of good practice and public information.
- To assist the Executive group in consultation on new initiatives and development pertaining to childcare and family support services.
- To act as a ‘portal’ to ensuring more effective communication between providers and the partnership.
- To assist in the identifying of training needs in support of on-going professional development.
- To assist in the reviewing of developments supported by the Partnership.
- To provide opportunities for networking thus improving communication and peer support amongst workers.
Membership is open to all childcare and children’s activity providers in the public, voluntary and private sectors.
The group observes and respects the need to protect confidential issues pertaining to providers own businesses such as business plans, clients and staff and therefore promotes members to share information only when they choose to do so for the benefit of the group.
